First century Christians were definitely people who believed in the fact that God hears and answers prayer and that the prayers of righteous men and women can be very effective (Acts 2:42; James 5:16). It is unfortuntate that so much mis-information is connected with such a wonderful privilege. On the one hand some people view prayer as only a kind a mental pep-talk. On the other hand some virtually claim that God will give you anything and everything for which you could ask. This series of lessons is dedicated to those people who hunger for deeper intimacy with God, and who want to receive the rich blessings a sincere communication with God.
